ULTRA SINGAPORE 2018 – PART 2

Hello, my loves!! If you loved our Ultra Singapore 2018 Part 1 article, then buckle up coz you are in for more treats this time. Our Ultra Singapore trip was combined with a mix of getting to know the city plus exploring all the important party places and eateries through which you get to experience the life of a Singaporean. So here we are on our Day 3 in Singapore which also is Day 2 for Ultra Singapore 2018.

We started the day by visiting the National Gallery which is such an iconic and historic building. It used to house two important national monuments – The City Hall & The Supreme Court.

Now, these two structures have been transformed into the marvelous National Gallery of Singapore. In this iconic gallery on the 2nd floor is a very famous restaurant called the “National Kitchen”.

This is run by Singapore’s biggest ambassador Violet Oon, who has brought paneled 1920’s style dining room back to Singapore’s unique culinary heritage. For some traditional and authentic Singaporean cuisine, drop by at the National Kitchen to experience true food coma.

My favourite was the “Tapioca Cakes” that I tried for the first time along with the dry Laksa topped with some finely chopped fresh laksa leaves.

It was now time to hit Ultra Singapore 2018 DAY 2 where some of the biggest electronic music Gods dropped their best beats. To name a few – DJ Afrojack, Above & Beyond, NERVO, Rave Republic, Fedde Le Grand were on the Mainstage and on the Resistance Stage were LOCO DICE, POPOF, COYU, Shane O’Neil and more!!! I loved the complete experience of Ultra Singapore 2018 and if I just had to sum it up in one word, I would say – MEMORABLE. On these 2 days, I have had the opportunity to meet and interact with so many souls, and I have lost count there are that many. Few of them were locals and many others were travelers from around the globe that had flown down especially for the love for electronic music and for ULTRA SINGAPORE 2018.

You guys must have seen in my videos, me dancing away with strangers that didn’t feel like strangers and conversations on EDM and iconic beats and anthems that united us all. So much love and so many boundaries of so many countries all blurred away with one common ground, one location and one united front for Ultra Singapore 2018.

I am sure all the Ultranauts across the globe will agree with me. I still remember when Nicky Romero, played his latest track at Ultra which also saw the official worldwide launch of his track, people around me, including me, of course, had tears in my eyes. Romero also paid a tribute to AVICII by playing his unreleased track called “HEAVEN” by Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Romero also revealed how Avicii had sent him this song right before his death. The song’s lyrics and the title were so apt for Avicii’s tribute and the entire crowd was cheering on in support.

Afrojack also had my heart with some of his best tracks!!!! Catch all the live action in my YouTube Video –

After Ultra Singapore 2018, the party didn’t end there. We then headed to one of the most luxurious and chic bars in town which transports you to old New York glamour with “Manhattan Bar”.

This bar has been awarded as No. 1 in Asia’s 50 best Bars and No. 7 in the world. You get to choose your drinks from a variety of artisanal spirits and classic cocktails that have been specially crafted from the world’s first in-hotel rick house and a vast collection of their house-made secret ingredients.

I loved their bite-sized cheesecakes shaped like apples reminding me of my most favourite city in the world – New York.

The grand location, remarkable interiors, mood lighting and different seating options as just a few of the things amongst many to be there when you are visiting Singapore.

Our next few stops were right along the biggest party place in town – Clarke Quay. Clarke Quay houses some of the best night pubs and bars and discs and we visited some of the unofficial party places of Ultra Singapore 2018. You could see all the Ultranauts, post Ultra Singapore 2018 Day 2, shift their partay here!!

We visited Zouk which attracts both Singaporeans and international travelers and is one of the most popular clubs in town.

Red Tail & Capital were also the next few stops for some of the best drinks and late night snacks to go along. I loved the different innovative gaming options available at the Red Tail.

With that ladies and gents, we called it a night and the next morning headed to yet another historic building for lunch. “The White Rabbit”, in the Dempsey district is truly an epicurean escape with their classic European recipes.

The white building in which the restaurant operates used to be a church in the past which is almost 50+ years old now and they also have an open space at the back for bar and lounging called as the “Rabbit Hole”.

I highly recommend their seafood pot, 5 cheese lobster sandwich and their classic and traditional Crepe Suzette.

The last stop before we headed out to the airport was the famous “Camp Kilo Charcoal Club” to end the trip in a relaxed way and unwind a bit. This place is totally my vibe with a trendy hipster take that boasts of 120 people’s seating space.

Where else will you find alfresco seating, a DJ booth and a garden bar all at one place, that too right by the riverside? I danced away celebrating an amazing and successful Ultra Singapore 2018 trip and also enjoyed the best apple pie that I had in a long time.

Left Singapore with a promise to return back with my partner in crime, Salman for ULTRA SINGAPORE 2018!!!!

Stay Sassy Loves!!!
