Kuaidi Wucan AKA The Express Lunch At China House

Express Lunch

I was a part of the Ladies Luncheon at China House, Grand Hyatt Mumbai for their recently launched “Kuaidi Wucan” also known as The Express Lunch. This lunch has been specially designed keeping in mind the limited amount of time an average person has during their lunch break hours. Majority of the time usually goes while getting the order to our table and that leaves us with barely any time to finish lunch properly and we are forced to rush back to work.

Express Lunch

I myself have experienced this dilemma while I was working at a job. But now thanks to the Express Lunch at China House, Grand Hyatt Mumbai, post you order your meal, you can expect a speedy arrival of your orders in flat 20 minutes.

Let me just begin by talking about one of my favourites from the Express Lunch – Duck Soup With Ginger. The soft duck meat was shredded perfectly to start your Express Lunch. Next I tried their Kung Pao Chicken and the chicken salad, which are two of the must haves from this menu. I loved their edamame dumplings and the fresh cucumber salad with a spicy soy bean paste and garlic.

You will be surprised at the Veg options the Express Lunch comes with. For the main course, I opted for Basa fish cooked in bean curd mala sauce, which is spicy and is a treat for all the seafood lovers like me. Another STAR dish from this menu has to be Wok tossed lamb with shimeji mushrooms. What a cracker of a dish this was. Don’t forget to order this one.

Now comes the best part – Desserts!! I tried two of them – Jasmine Tea-ramisu which is served with orange vanilla ice-cream made from scratch by the in-house chefs. The tiramisu is sprinkled with jasmine tea leaves powder for a unique taste. Second one I tried was my favourite of all times from China House – Deep fried banana fritters with coconut ice-cream.
