Has it ever happened to you that you get transported to another world altogether with some music and then a touch of velvety voice completes your transition? When the music of a film gives you goosebumps combined with such relatable visuals for both metro peeps and for the people from the heartland of our country, then you need to share the out of body experience with the world, right?
JUGNI is one such film!!! When I got to hear Jugni film’s music at it’s Music Launch on 15th Dec at Pvr, Icon, I was a fan then and there. I for one, have a very wide and a varied taste in music. My playlists will consist of songs from different genres, right from heavy metal and alternative rock, to sufi, folk and ghazals too. I can go from head banging on one number to getting teary eyed on some hindi-punjabi slow song within seconds. When I listen to any music or songs, what matters to me is the connect. Either it should be intriguing and make me listen to it more or surprise me and make me get absolutely lost in it. The songs of JUGNI film did all of the above and boy oh boy, what soulful songs they have.
If you’re an avid traveller or not, whether you love road trips or no, if you appreciate some soul searching lyrics then listen to Dugg Duggi Dugg song from Jugni right here and see the video too
Dugg Duggi Dugg is my most favourite song from Jugni film and it has been sung in the magical voice of Vishal Bhardwaj. Make sure to give this one a listen and I’m sure it is going to be your newest travel companion.
Jugni song is sung by Javed Bashir and music is by Clinton Cerejo. The title track of the film symbolizes the crux of the film so beautifully and stands in sync with the journey of Vaibhavari and Mastana, two people from completely different worlds but brought together by a common passion – MUSIC. Jugni film is about Sugandha Garg’s journey and her quest to find music with a free-flying spirit.
The third song from the Jugni film which has been released for you guys, is another beautiful track called “Dilaan De Saudey” which has a very raw feel to it with traditional folk lyrics. The video features Sugandha Garg & Siddhant Behl. This song describes the collision of two pathways and how music goes beyond boundaries, languages and regions. Music is what unites these two fiery birds. Sung in a magical voice by Javed Bashir, Dilaan De Saudey definitely will take you all back to your passion and remind you that the heart wants what the heart wants. This song actually is a feet tapping number as well and it makes me wanna dance.
Jugni film is all set to release on 22nd January 2016. Make sure to follow them across all their handles, as they will be releasing few more songs from it’s extraordinary album soon.
