This weekend getaway to Hotel Aureole in Mumbai was a memorable one that everyone dreams of – luxurious, relaxing, awesome food, unending pampering, open rooftop swims and some Lohri Party fun.
Firstly Hotel Aureole is situated just a few minutes away from the western expressway and the metro in Andheri East. Secondly, this boutique luxury property has a themed interior, which changes from every floor. So every floor has a different story to tell and it is completely different from the other floors.
We stayed at their Presidential Suite on the fourth floor, which had a theme of “poetry”. Every room on this floor has a separate message to deliver through these poems. Isn’t it amazing that you get to experience a completely different room on your different visits at Hotel Aureole? This is definitely one of the reasons what sets them apart from other hotels.
Starting with our poetry inspired Presidential Suite, it is designed to cover all your needs with a huge bathtub placed right in the centre, parallel to the LED. This Suite has a grand set up of a king sized bed, full-length glass windows, two separate twin washbasins set-up for him and her and some splendid A-Class bath fittings.
Both of us were in awe of the European style bath fittings that actually transport you to a blissful place. I can compare this luxury and class to that of international properties that we have visited, par excellence. The welcome basket has some healthy munching options too. The wooden flooring teamed up with pastel interiors with the heritage furniture adds a classy charm to their Presidential Suite.
If you are travelling to Mumbai for a business trip or you are planning a family get-together or a weekend getaway with friends or a special someone, then these rooms and Suites will make you fall in love with the property and have you all cozied up and pampered. We did the same thing and ordered room service the next morning for our brekky. Even though it is a vegetarian only place (they do serve egg), their varieties of dishes and cuisines are impressive. Don’t forget to try out their aaloo parathas and masala chai for breakfast.
The entire property is a 6-floor building with the rooftop pool on the 7th floor. Apart from the poetry inspired rooms, there are so many other themes, which we cannot wait to try out in our next stay.
The cut-outs inspired theme has different shapes and designs cut-out on the ceilings, walls and the furniture. For example, the kettle-shaped wall cut-out is a kettle storage space and even the wardrobe space is a cut-out design. The theme starts right from the time you step out of the lift, and you can spot the cut-outs in the lobby and the door designs as well.
The next theme is “Hammock Lovin” where each and every room comes with a hammock by the window for you to laze around and chill while you read a book or complete your business calls.
The 6th floor theme is that of a “Vintage Theme” which has a very elegant design luxurious living space with full-length Vintage mirrors to help you achieve that Classic Look.
The last theme is that of a “Corporate Theme” which has a simple and easy living space with full-length mirrors to help you achieve that ideal business look. I like how well thought each and every theme is to help you decide which theme do you prefer!
Hotel Aureole has 2 banquets – the Ballad Banquet Hall And the Sparkle Banquet Hall, which are ideal for all your business meetings, conferences or for personal family functions or get-togethers. I love the fact that they also provide the provision of a sound proof divider incase you want to hold 2 separate activities in the same banquet hall.
They also have a “Nest Lounge” which is a game room cum lounge that can be converted to your themed bachelor parties, or a birthday party for your little ones. This room can be fixed up with an X-Box and other gaming consoles or into a mini theatre space as per the requirement. In our 3 days stay; this room was always full and bustling with various activities. All you gamer boys just like @DarkAngelPhotography, you have found your perfect hangout place!!!!
Now come two of my personal favourite spots – The Lume and the Terrace Pool area.
The Lume is an all day and all night breakfast to dining area that serves multi-cuisine food with the European Cuisine being their speciality. It is divided into two floors and as you can see in the pics, the interiors are so calm and relaxing. The colourful glasses add so much vibrancy to the space and the briefcase stairs are a class apart.
A well-conceptualized property that has a different story to tell at different nooks and corners. We will be covering their food in a separate article on our blog. Do keep a lookout for that, all you foodies.
We went for a swim on two different days on their rooftop pool which has a lounging space right around it for you to catch a quite bite or get yourself a cuppa post your swim. This space is also huge enough for one to hold poolside parties with your friends and family.
We were a part of the “Lohri Party” celebrations held on the same rooftop poolside. The entire terrace area was transformed to celebrate the harvest season with a bang.
Right from the Punjabi folk dancers to a bonfire, special Punjabi thali that consisted of make di roti and sargon da saag, raajma chawal, etc and street style specials like chaats, sweet potato barbeques, live music and some freshly made juices by the pool watching over the Mumbai skyline was such a beauty.
It was indeed a memorable and a fun night hanging with my BAE and celebrating Lohri dancing the night away. I cannot get over their barbequed paneer preparations and gulab jamuns.
A big shout out to the owners of Hotel Aureole for putting so much of thought and love into making this boutique property a luxurious stay at home away from home. Stay tuned for our food articles and look shoots that will be out soon. Thanks for showering our Snapchat (id – SassyShifSays) and Instagram stories with so much love!!!
